Supernatural 5.05
Oct. 9th, 2009 02:42 pmSooo... We're done with the heavily-packed angel episodes for the moment, is that it? Also, no contact with angels / no dreams sent by Lucifer for the whole random three weeks? What? With the exception of Castiel's rib-carved mojo working with exponential success when they're together, that's... lame, apocalypse people. Allowing them to breathe? Are you nuts?
Yes, apparently easing into things was what they needed (And yay Dean for saying they, not Sam alone, needed training wheels-). But still - heaven and hell just let them? WTF?
Side note:
I don't think anyone can blame Dean for still talking to Bobby about Sam, though. It shouldn't be done behind his back, but more than anyone Bobby has earned the right to be kept in the loop, especially now that he can't exactly come to their rescue every other minute. (At least not yet? *hopes*) Not!Paris mentioning Dean's father issues annoyed me, but they do need a father figure in their life, and especially Bobby's extremely well-informed outsider-pov.
I didn't care one way or the other about the monster of the week and the insiders that came with it, except that Sam being attacked by tiny not!Gandhi was funny. (And can the next local police person they meet please be smart?) But.
Boys speaking truths! Boys talking about their interpersonal problems! Sam making a stand for himself without misplacing any of the blame, and Dean finally acknowledging, like so many fans have wanted him to since the start of the season, that a big part of this mess is his fault, too, and that he himself also would have killed Lilith if he'd been able because they didn't know what it would do.
Dean letting Sam drive! Has he not be allowed to do that the whole last three weeks? Bad Dean! Let's see how well they manage to do this whole equal levelly thing...
